Founded in 2017, Drink From Me is a one-man Death Metal solo project from Northeast Pennsylvania. Peter S is the multi-instrument creator. Music is influenced by elements of Death metal, Slam, Deathcore, Black Metal, Thrash and Classical music. Lyrical content focuses on existential Vampire themes and alternate Vampire mythologies. First release in early 2024 "Lagertha", was about Viking Shieldmaiden Lagertha and her journey to becoming a vampire. In 2024, "Inanna" was the follow-up release, which explored Vampirism within the Sumerian Goddess Inanna. Latest release in 2026 is "Vampiricy", which focuses on Greek mythological figure Medusa becoming a Vampire. With the help of Hecate and Lamia, she fully realizes the extent of her Vampiric powers and maneuvers her way to overthrow the Gods of Olympus, ending their egotistical reign.
Peter is currently working on new music for release in late 2027.
Guitar Talk
Peter plays 9 string guitar, 7 string guitar and Bass, along with doing vocals, keyboard and drum composing.
9 string guitars are tuned (low to high) BEAEADGBE for most songs. Low string (9) is B0, at the same frequency level of a 5 string bass. Next string (8) is E1 and then next string (7) is at A1. So, strings 9,8,7 are the same pitch as strings 5,4,3 on a 5 string bass. Strings 6-1 are the pitch of a normally tuned 6 string guitar. Basically, the 9 string guitars are the same pitch level as a 5 string bass and 1 octave below a standard 7 string guitar. This tuning has the open A to E from strings 7-6 which allows for 1 finger chords to facilitate duplicating some of the 7 string parts. This tuning was developed because the 9 string guitar crosses over regular guitar and bass, in a hybrid fashion. It was found that the lower B-E-A adds to an open-sounding, resonant type of sound which "bonded" the lower notes with 7 string guitar and Bass.
